Weldiam, Inc. was incorporated on August 30, 1990. Its principal, Leon Well, began his training in Chicago as a premier diamond buyer and salesman for a major diamond wholesaler, Reiss Inc. In 1979, Leon Well moved to New York where he continued to develop in the industry as a pioneering agent for the radiant cut that had had recently been introduced and patented by Henry Grossbard of the Radiant Cut Diamond Corp.

In 1990, Leon Well felt that it was time to start his own company and began Weldiam, Inc. In the ensuing 21 years, Weldiam has grown into a major diamond importer and manufacturer serving the needs of hundreds of fine jewelers across America.

Weldiam is a member of the Diamond Dealers Club of New York and is a registered supplier for the American Gem Society.
